Bill: Manifesto of CUPM/PC - Healthcare
Details
Submitted by[?]: Conservative Party of Mordusia
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: November 5252
Description[?]:
Currently, Mordusia’s government-run health care system does not lead to an efficient allocation of resources, discourages people from becoming doctors, and suffers from long wait times and uneven quality of care. The fact of the matter is that the taxpayer’s money is used poorly in the healthcare arena. Public health and quality of care will be high priorities under a CUPM/PC government. CUPM/PC, on taking office, will immediately work to eliminate wasteful and ethically dubious programming like the provision of condoms and abortifacents on government dime in public washrooms. At the same time, there will be a major campaign to ensure that within the bounds of parental and individual consciences, the most ambitious campaign in decades will be launched to get citizens, especially youth, up to date with vaccinations against disease. Finally, we will work to replace the wasteful socialized healthcare system with an equitable and efficient system that prioritizes the poor in terms of financial assistance, and which will be conducive to medical innovation in the long run. |
