Following Karlotte Lehmann's announcement of her retirement from politics, the DSDP Federal Party Assembly has voted to elect her successor as Federal Secretary.

The race was uncontested, as Joachim Roth-Schuster was the only standing candidate. There was although, the possibility for the people in the assembly to write in a candidate of their choice.

Results:
- Joachim Roth-Schuster, incumbent Minister for Foreign Affairs: 492 votes
- Olaf Ackerman (write-in), former party leader and incumbent Representative to the AU: 4 votes
- Rebecca Van Hart (write-in), incumbent Federal President: 4 votes

Mr. Joachim Roth-Schuster is duly elected as the new Federal Secretary of the DSDP.
