Bill: Income tax proposal of November 2241
Details
Submitted by[?]: Dorvish Popular Front
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This bill proposes to change income taxes. It requires more than half of the legislature to vote yes. This bill will pass as soon as the required yes votes are in, or will be defeated if unsufficient votes are reached on the deadline.
Voting deadline: July 2242
Description[?]:
From the desk of Keith Dewsbury... The old flat tax system is absolutely appalling and results in the poorest ending up the worst off. I have proposed a progressive taxation system as a means of wealth redistribution and to ensure taxation is fairer to all. The tax is still fairly low compared to what we believe it should be, this can be altered in years to come depending upon the governments reform program. |

Random fact: Cabinet ministers who disagree seriously with the head of government would usually be expected to resign. Parties within the cabinet may attempt to manoeuvre to replace the head of government though, for example by proposing a new cabinet bill or voting for an early election. |
