The First Stage of the New Economic Policy of 5286 has concluded. The Second Stage shall continue to place emphasis on the growth of light and heavy manual industry, with additional programs for the alleviation of rural poverty and the development of the countryside. The government shall seek to cut taxes for and subsidize national conglomerates in an effort to ramp up the production of industrial machinery and automobiles for export. Banks shall be encouraged to lend more with generous interest to international investors. The PWA shall cooperate with national conglomerates in the areas of personnel as well as consultancy for the completion of urban development and infrastructure construction and maintenance programs, namely the Shinsu Dam. Rurally, the UNVM shall cooperate with the government, with federal funding, to produce target crops and livestock in organized rural units. The proceeds will be put towards the development of roads, electric lines, sewage systems, and educational facilities. |
