| The Gender Equality in the Trigunian Hosian Church Act Preamble: Whereas the Trigunian Hosian Church has historically excluded women from its leadership and denied them the opportunity to become the head of the church; Whereas gender equality is a fundamental human right and an essential principle of democracy and social justice; Whereas the Trigunian Federation is committed to promoting gender equality and eliminating discrimination based on gender in all spheres of society, including the religious sphere; Now, therefore, be it enacted by the Parliament of the Trigunian Federation as follows: Section 1: Amendments to the Trigunian Hosian Church Constitution The Trigunian Hosian Church Constitution is hereby amended as follows: 1.1. The requirement that the head of the church must be male is hereby repealed. 1.2. Women shall be allowed to serve in all levels of church leadership, including as bishops, archbishops, and members of the Holy Synod. 1.3. The Trigunian Hosian Church shall establish a gender equality commission to oversee the implementation of this act and promote gender equality within the church. Section 2: Implementation and Enforcement 2.1. The Trigunian Hosian Church shall implement the provisions of this act within six months of its passage. 2.2. The Ministry of Religious Affairs shall monitor the implementation of this act and ensure that the Trigunian Hosian Church is in compliance with its provisions. 2.3. Any person or institution that violates the provisions of this act shall be subject to penalties and sanctions as prescribed by law. Section 3: Severability Clause If any provision of this act is found to be invalid or unconstitutional, the remaining provisions shall remain in effect. Section 4: Effective Date This act shall take effect upon its passage. This law shall be known as the Gender Equality in the Trigunian Hosian Church Act. Enacted by the Parliament of the Trigunian Federation on this 20th of April, 5293. |
