Bill: MLP Religous Freedoms Bill

Details

Submitted by[?]: Telamon Patriots' Bloc

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: August 2244

Description[?]:

The MLP is a strong believer in the freedom to practice religion for the citizens of Telamon. The right for people to practice religion should never be infringed upon by the government. Articles 1 and 2 are proposals that grant citizens freedom of religion. Devoutly religious parents will now be able to enroll their children in a school that preaches and is focused on thier religion, all the while assuring that an actual education is being provided. Ministers can now be paid by their churches, and full time jobs in the religous field will now come about for those who choose to. The MLP also recognizes that included in freedom of religion is the freedom from religion and the choice not to practice it. Article 3 assues that the government will in no way preach or support anyone religion or any religion at all.

This bill simply removes the government from the religion of the citizens of Telamon, a deeply private matter that the government has no right or importance being involved in.
