Bill: Refugee & Border Reform Act of 5330

Details

Submitted by[?]: Capitalist National Front

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: December 5331

Description[?]:

Likatonia prides itself on being a beacon of hope for those refugees seeking asylum. However, it is not the role of the federal government to foot the bill for all of their expenses once they have settled down into our society. In the name of fiscal responsibility, we look to amend the law so that persons facing dangerous & extenuating circumstances are given refugee status and the government only provide integration-aid to these persons (up to 300 days of government-backed assistance). The provisions set forth in this bill are more than enough to help refugees find housing, employment, and a chance to integrate within our workforce. If we continue to spend more money on immigration policy than we do our own citizens, we shall find ourselves in trouble; especially when we do not have a balanced budget! Additionally, we need to THOROUGHLY check all individuals entering this nation on a habitual basis. We do not know what they bring with them as they enter & it is of vital importance that the federal government protects its citizens from all harm, foreign and domestic. Strengthening our borders sends a message to Likatonians that their government values their protection!
