| The royal spokesman announced that former King Gustav II passed away early on September 13, 5355, at his private estate in Kundrati due to old age at the age of 96. Born in 5259, he succeeded to the throne in 5301 upon the death of his father, and reigned for 34 years. 3 years of civil war forced him and the crown prince to flee the country. When the nationalists were victorious, they established a military government that same year. The monarchy was abolished and the king then lived in exile for about 20 years. Crown Prince Erik Eugen has announced to succeed to the Davostagian throne as Erik II Eugen. |
