Recognizing the current state of affairs, therein which lack any proper term limits, the Term Limits Act looks to formally establish term limits. Any person afflicted with a political party may seek office of presidency and shall be limited to 3 terms (12 years). These terms are not consecutive and should a presidential candidate fail to win office, the limits are not reset. Any presidential candidate making an attempt to run for 4 terms will be barred from presidency and potentially removed from the ballot and replaced by a member of said party. This bill can be overridden and deposed of with a 2/3rds majority in the National Congress. |
