Description[?]:
"Taxes on sales products are among the most regressive, affecting more the poor than the rich. However, the idea that taxes on luxuries are somewhat "good for the lower classes" is misleading. First, it obviously impact negatively the workers of these industries. Second, it makes these products even less accessible for the poor and the low middle classes, actually increasing the abyss between classes (de facto defined more by access to specific goods than by a number on a bank account. So we propose a reduction on the sales tax regarding so-called luxury items." -Adolfo Souza Mequenezes, chief economist of the Green Order and Progress Party |

Random fact: Moderation will not accept Cultural Protocol updates which introduce, on a significant scale, cultures which are likely to be insufficiently accessible to players. In particular, for all significant cultures in Particracy, it should be easy for players to access and use online resources to assist with language translation and the generation of character names. Moderation reserves the right to amend Cultural Protocols which are deemed to have introduced significant cultures that are not sufficiently accessible and which are not being actively role-played with. |
