Bill: Income tax proposal of September 2307
Details
Submitted by[?]: Social Liberal Party
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This bill proposes to change income taxes. It requires more than half of the legislature to vote yes. This bill will pass as soon as the required yes votes are in, or will be defeated if unsufficient votes are reached on the deadline.
Voting deadline: May 2308
Description[?]:
A drastic change in the economic system is absolutely necessary to reverse Lusitania's economic downfall. A new tax structure is needed to end and reverse the recession. If any of the other parties are familiar with economic principles (as I am), we will be implementing the Multiplier effect. There are many sources where you can grasp the basic concepts of this principle on the internet, however here is a simple diagram I've found on wikipedia. http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/0/0f/Simpmult.PNG This tax proposal needs a majority of votes to pass, so the Social Liberal Party needs the support of at least one more party. Vote but vote consciously. Lusitania WILL NOT reverse it's current recession without this proposed change that increases government revenue and spending in crucial areas. Make no mistake. The Libertarian policies of the Conservative Party's majority governments have failed our nation. The numbers do not lie. The Social Liberal Party has a proud economic record of growth to look back upon. We ask this house to vote favourably on this tax proposal and to trust us. |

Random fact: Players who consent to a particular role-play by acknowledging it in their own role-play cannot then disown it or withdraw their consent from it. For example, if player A role-plays the assassination of player B's character, and player B then acknowledges the assassination in a news post, but then backtracks and insists the assassination did not happen, then he will be required under the rules to accept the validity of the assassination role-play. |
