This proposal will offer large government subsidies, tax excemptions and preferential zoning to developments that meet 'arcology standards.' Arcology standard will be defined as: 1) No space allotted to cars. 2) Must produce at least 50% of its own power requirements. 3) Must have housing available for at least 10,000 individuals. 4) Half of all housing units in the development must be for 'low income' individuals, defined as rent of 50 Mpy or less a month. |
