| This bill would change the existing law from: 1) All radio stations are private. To: The government subsidises independent non profit making cooperatives for educational and informational purposes; other private non-subsidised radio stations are allowed. Is it not common sense to be able to educate the public in many different varieties of ways? Non-profit organizations that are dedicated to the education of our citizens are an important structure in society. Radio stations are on average part of our daily life. To let the government assist stations that educate the people and in turn let them listen to the radio, could increase awareness in areas the poeple never knew of, or about. With stations, the people could more easily be able to stay in tune with the progress of our government. |
