Description[?]:
The Beluzian Libertarian Party started as Movement For Change, an alliance of anti-socialist independents. After a period of electoral gains the Libertarian Party was founded in 4053 to fight for small government and free market economics in Beluzia. The party saw moderate electoral success in the 50s and 60s, however following a period of decline the party split into several smaller groups who struggled to gain a foothold electorally. The most significant of the Libertarian Party's breakaway groups was also the most radical. The Anarcho-Liberal Coalition was an alliance between radical libertarians, anti government activists and conspiracy theorists. Lead by former Libertarian presidential candidate Hiroshi Tanakabe (who'd caused controversy by proclaiming that violent revolution was the only way to change society) the Anarcho-Liberal Coalition had won significant representation in local and regional government by May 4084. LIBERTARIAN PARTY GENERAL SECRETARY - William Thornton (4047 - 4051) - Peter Stance (4051) - Edgar Wallace (4051 - 4059) - Isaac Orsimov (4059 - 4065) - Syd Myers (4065 - 4070) - Lucia Weldon (4070 - 4076) ALC President - Hiroshi Tanakabe (4081 - present) |
