Description[?]:
The New Republic Party (NRP) is a center-right party. It supports a brand of conservatism, mixing paternalistic conservatism, progressive conservatism and national conservatism. * Economic issues: on economic issues, the NRP supports a mixed economy. It supports broadly interventionist and protectionistic policies to protect the nation's interests and a strong welfare state to ensure social stability while defending the right to private property and free enterprise. It rejects class struggle ideology, in the name of "class collaboration". * Social issues: on social issues, the NRP takes center-right positions. It is staunchly patriotic and defends a strong cultural (but not ethnic) form of nationalism. It also believes in a strong military that is able to defend Beluzian interests abroad. On the other hand, it is a secular party and recognizes the necessity of social progress, but believe it should only be pursued in moderation. The party is currently led by its founder, Peter Kirilchuk. |

Random fact: Cabinet ministers who disagree seriously with the head of government would usually be expected to resign. Parties within the cabinet may attempt to manoeuvre to replace the head of government though, for example by proposing a new cabinet bill or voting for an early election. |
