Description[?]:
We are the Kuomintang, Indrala's oldest continually operating political party. The word kuomintang derives from an ancient language of a great civilization which translates into "National People's Party" or "Nationalist Party". ****************************************************************************************************************************** Our Beliefs and Principles ****************************************************************************************************************************** Our party believes: -- in the Role of tradition -- in the Organic nature of society -- in Gradual change -- that Society cannot be radically altered We also believe in the Three Principles of the People, which is the basis for our platform and our policies: -- The People's Relation/Connection: To promote our civic-nationalism (as opposed to ethnic-nationalism or ethnic-centrism) -- The People's Power: To promote democracy and good government -- The People's Welfare/Livelihood: To promote the well-being, freedoms, and liberties of the people, and to protect the natural rights of the citizen As a Tory party, we believe in: -- Parliamentary Supremacy -- a Constitutional Monarchy Our interesting ideological mix is called Kuominbaoshouism, which translates into Nationalist-Conservatism (nationalist in reference to civic nationalism and not ethnic nationalism). We are also strong supporters of a mixed economy, but give preference to the free half of the economy. Our belief is that the market economy works for us, the People, and not the other way around. Which is why we support both the Market economy, and economic and fiscal regulations to ensure the strength of the economy, and to safeguard our health, our wealth, and our National Security. The Kuomintang does not favour an aggressive military design for offensive purposes, but one that can efficiently and effectively secure our borders and provide the best defence against aggressors. We also support international peacekeeping operations, and effective, if necessary, special forces peacemaking operations. We believe that the state should maintain a balanced foreign porfolio that leans towards a strong, but lowered presence on the international stage, and increase Government focus on domestic affairs. As a ideologically Conservative party, the Kuomintang will seek to defend the country from radical elements that seek to destroy the traditions and history of Indrala. World's Smallest Political Quiz:http://www.theadvocates.org/quiz_result?e=80&i=50_80.gif&p=50 ****************************************************************************************************************************** Our Factions and Wings ****************************************************************************************************************************** The Kuomintang is a union of various factions and former small political parties: * Baoshoudang (Conservative Party of Indrala): A political party that believes in the four points of modern conservatism and a balance between regulation and laissez-faire. (Leader: Rt. Hon. Deng Xiaoqi) * Ziyoudang (Liberal Party of Indrala): A political party that believes in small government in economics and society (Leader: Hon. Guo Shuheng) * Minzu Zhuyi Zhelianhe (National Union): A political party with strong nationalistic roots (Leader: Hon. Pan Angming) * Jinbudang (Progressive Party): A political party that embraces red toryism (Leader: Hon. Gao Aitian) * Guominjuntuan (National Peoples' Korps): A political party formed by leading Indralan military officers and soldiers. Enjoys supports from the majority of the Indralan Forces (Leader: Adm. Jiang Guomin, IAFN) ****************************************************************************************************************************** The Imperial House and Beiyial House of Deng ****************************************************************************************************************************** Our Party supports the Deng as the rightful holders of the imperial office of "Paramount Leaders of the Indralans" and the rightful heads of the Indralan Monarchy |

Random fact: Real-life organisations should not be referenced in Particracy, unless they are simple and generic (eg. "National Organisation for Women" is allowed). |
Random quote: "No one today can afford to be innocent, or indulge himself in ignorance of contemporary governments, politics and social orders. The national polities of the modern world maintain their existence by deliberately fostered craving and fear: monstrous protection rackets. The 'free world' has become economically dependent on a fantastic system of stimulation of greed which cannot be fulfilled, sexual desire which cannot be satiated and hatred which has no outlet except against oneself, the persons one is supposed to love, or the revolutionary aspirations of pitiful, poverty-stricken marginal societies like Cuba or Vietnam. The conditions of the Cold War have turned all modern societies - communist included - into vicious distorters of man's true potential." - Gary Snyder |
