Seats[?] in Federal Congress of Likatonia[?]: 0
Color[?]:
Description[?]:
The Likatonian Independence Party supports: 1. Individual Liberty 2. National Sovereignty 3. A free market economy 4. A limited safety net 5. A strong Military 6. Secured Borders 7. Restricted Immigration 8. Non-Interventionism & soft Isolationism Political Orientation: Nationalist (Likatonianism) Social policies: libertarian Economic policies: free market-protectionist combined with a limited welfare-state (right-wing populist) Foreign policies: non-interventionist & soft isolationist Current Party Leader: Patrick Jameson replaces Jesse Johnson. A staunch Nationalist, he seeks to protect Likatonia from both the evils of foreign radicalism as well as poverty and the accompanying crime. The Party takes a sharp shift to the economic center, advocating for social reforms whilst continuing to stress that the safety of the welfare state rests on limiting "runaway migration into Likatonia". (Current Nationalist Political Compass) https://www.politicalcompass.org/yourpoliticalcompass?ec=0.13&soc=-3.28 The Likatonian Independence Party supports the national sovereignty of Likatonia. In order to achieve this, we support a free market economy combined with a limited safety net, a strong military combined with a non-interventionist foreign policy vision, secured borders along with a restrictive immigration policy, a Republican & Federal form of government in order to best address issues of importance through debate and partial devolution to the states rather than one of the twin-evils: centralized decision-making or direct democracy. (Old) Political Compass 4195 - 4199 https://www.politicalcompass.org/yourpoliticalcompass?ec=6.0&soc=-0.31 (Old) Political Compass 4190 - 4195: https://www.politicalcompass.org/yourpoliticalcompass?ec=+1.0&soc=-3.18 Factions: 1. Nationalists - Fierce Patriots: (Approximately 60%) National Defense & National Sovereignty are the top issues. Curtailing immigration and the flow of refugees is another primary concern. On economics this faction is the most center-left, endorsing national infrastructure spending & least likely to endorse devolution to local governments. 2. Libertarians - Liberty Lovers: (Approximately 20%) Individual liberties & the devolution of powers from the central government to local governments are the top issues of concern. On economics this group is the most to the right. Endorsing privatization, gutting regulations, and cutting taxes dramatically. 3. Radical Centrists - Idealists without illusions (Approximately 20%) The RC Faction supports market-based solutions with federal oversight to support the public interest. Neither left or right wing on economics, instead endorsing what they view as good politics from all ideologies. This group is radical in the sense that they seek to work outside of conventional ideologies - endorsing pragmatism on most issues. |

Random quote: "In Germany they first came for the Communists and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a Communist. Then they came for the Jews, and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a Jew. Then they came for the trade unionists and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a trade unionist. Then they came for the Catholics, and I didn't speak up because I was a Protestant. Then they came for me--and by that time no one was left to speak up." - Pastor Martin Niemoller |
