The Christian Conservative Party was founded in 2525. It styles itself a religious and monarchist party. Overall platform: Opposes big government regulation in general and in the marketplace. Supports devolution of federal government powers to the state and local levels. Supports a continuance of Kalistan's long-standing policy of isolation. Supports the inclusion of the Church of Kalistan in the government. Supports federal lawmakers enforcing morality and religion along the lines of the Church of Kalistan. Supports environmentalism. Supports the return of the monarchy. The party is governed by an acting Council of Seven, representing the Church of Kalistan, parliamentary delegation, and state parties. The National Christian Conservative Party has five state affiliate parties. A party congress of delegates from the national and state parties is convened every election year to choose the shadow government and presidential candidate, and at other intervals as convened by the Council of Seven. Currently, the party is dominated internally by the Stay Free Conference, led by Christopher Lemons, which is more libertarian than conservative. Current party chairman: former president Christopher Lemons, president of the Neveran Christian Conservative affiliate party and leader of the Stay Free Conference. |
