The Peoples Libertarian Alliance is a party devoted to Libertarian Capitalism, maximising personal freedoms with economic freedoms, we aim to represent the poor, middle and upper class from all over the Kingdom. - Economic Policy - We must bring the government out of the economy and assist entrepreneurs in creating the industry of the future. However government initiatives can assist the economy but should be carefully considered before being enacted. - Social Policy - We must expand the freedom of the people and bring about a balance of power between central and local government. We must encourage personal charity and not force government sponsored charity on the people however on the matter of welfare we recognise that it is necessary but must be a intuitive and secure system. - Detailed Policies - - Administrative Policy - Retirement Age should be 60 Adulthood should be determined by age Parties should be able to make 25 proposals per year Maximum Quota a party can accumulate should be 25 Every party should be able to propose a cabinet Citizenship should be granted to all nationals Multiple Citizenship should be allowed Head of State and Head of Government should be two different offices All government emloyees should have to promise political independence Citizens should be issued with identity cards on a voluntary basis The age at which someone is considered an adult should be 18 Citizens should directly elect their mayors Only those born in this country or to nationals should be able to claim nationality Titles of nobility should be granted by the head of state Nobility should confer titles and minor rights but no political powers and should not be hereditary The government should not require nationals to register their race or religion The length of a legislative term should be 48 months The size of the legislature shoudl be 498 making parties need two hundred thousand votes to gain a seat - Military Policy - The nation should reserve the right to develop, construct and store biological and chemical weapons The nation should never use chemical or biological weapons in warfare unless another nation uses them first Local authorities should be responsible for building and maintaining shelters Defence industries should be privately owned and not subsidised Homosexuality should be allowed in the military The nation should have an intelligence agency that is permitted by law to undertake all types of covert operations in other countries The use of land mines is should be left as a choice made by the army Any adult citizen should be able to serve in the military, discrimination for racial or religious reasons should be prohibited A civilian police force should be in place and the military should be called in to help in serious emergencies All adults upon completion of schooling should be required in times of war to serve a term in the military The nation should retain a full time, professional army, navy and air force The nation should reserve the right to use nuclear weapons if victory is not feasibile by other means The nation should reserve the right to develop, construct and store nuclear arms Paramilitaries should be allowed but should be heavily regulated by the government Prisoners of war should be treated well, according to internationally-accepted standards The government should approve all arms sales on a case by case basis Women should serve alongside men - Health Policy - - Economic Policy - All advertising should be permitted All banks should be privately owned Child labour should be allowed and should be subject to the same regulations of those of adult labourers Corporation tax should be 0 The government should obligate Trade Unions and Employers to negotiate the daily number of working hours Energy should be provided by private companies which are not subject to any special regulations Non-luxury sales tax should be 0 The exchange rate of the national currency should be allowed to float, and the government should not intervene at all Only adults should be allowed to purchase fireworks Employers should be able to fire workers who are deemed to have gone on strike without reasonable reasons Foreign investors should be able to freely invest in national companies Gambling should be legal across the nation, no regulation what so ever Industrial hemp regulations should be left up to local governments The government should not intervene in the market Trade unions should exist but worker membership should be voluntary Luxury sales tax should be 15 The government should have no stance on a salary cap There should be no provision for a minimum wage There should be no regulations on phone service Pornography depicting consenting adults should be legal for adults The production of pornography should be treated as any other business No form of positive discrimination should be permitted Prostitution should be a legal and a recognized profession The matter of sales of recreational drugs should be handled by local governments Secondary strike action should be illegal, workers and unions should only go on strike for their own pay and conditions Stock exchanges should be allowed and should be unregulated All workers should have the right to strike but certain categories of workers regarded as critical to society should have to ensure a minimal service Trade Unions should by law hold a ballot of all members before going on strike, majority approval of those that vote should be needed from its members The government should not intervene in the marketplace with regards to Democratic Workers' Councils -
