Details
Nation[?]: Dorvische Republik (Dorvik)
Seats[?] in Staatsrat (State Council)[?]: 0
Color[?]:
Description[?]:
The Solidarity Party was formed in 2435 by the unanimous votes of several powerful unions: the Steam and Iron Workers 304, the Steelworkers 508, the Electricians 242, and the Teamsters 136, among others. Our aim is to put power in the hands of the people once again; we accept the reality of class warfare and see it as a necessity to fix the grievous imbalances in our society. Class warfare does not have to be violent, but the Solidarity Party fully endorses the death penalty and the right to bear arms, knowing that the common man must too often defend himself against the predations of the capitalist system. The treatment of workers is our highest priority, but we also seek economic protection in the form of tariffs and incentives to pay a living wage. We are firmly pro-immigration, as long as immigrants are skilled workers. We do not endorse any one religion or race above any other; our brotherhood as the backbone of the modern world transcends such petty differences. We believe: -In a graduated income tax with many small brackets for accurate but not overbearing taxation; -In high-quality non-segregated public education and publicly funded vocational schools; -In universal health care aid for by the government and by incentives to medical care providers; -In allowing the unfettered progress of science to improve the life of the common man; -In freedom of speech and the rights of plebiscite, initiative and referendum |

Random fact: Players have a responsibility to differentiate between OOC (out-of-character) and IC (in-character) behaviour, and to make clear when they are communicating in OOC or IC terms. Since Particracy is a role-playing game, IC excesses are generally fine, but OOC attacks are not. However, players must not presume this convention permits them to harass a player with IC remarks that have a clear OOC context. |
