| Solidarita (Sol) is left-wing to far-left socialist party founded in may 5343 by members of various unions and social movements aswell as small breakaway groups from other left-wing parties. It is lead by union organizer and former metalworker Alexandra Hanušová and have been described as a left-wing populist party with a strong labour movement identity. The party campaigns in favour of workers rights, better economic conditions for the working class and against privatizations and neoliberalism, struggles it considers linked with the long term goal of socialism and workplace democracy. The party is strongly feminist and fights for women's liberation in all spheres of society. Solidarita is also anti-racist and support minority languege rights and justice for minority communities. The party is strongly in favour of LGBTQ+rights. Solidarita supports environmentalism but empathise the need for green industrial practices and a just transistion for workers and rural communities, it is highly supportive of nuclear power aswell as renewable energy sources. The party also have a balanced view on defence issues seeeing a strong defence and support to nations fighting just wars of self-defence as important while also being opposed to hawkish international policy. |
