Founded August 3504, abbreviated PASOC. The Party of Socialists is a political party and mass movement founded upon the principles of ecologism and socialism. The party seeks to expand democracy, and make it include not only parliamentary democracy, but collective, social decision-making in the economy. Overall the Party of Socialists believes that society should prioritise ecology above economy, and human values above materialist wealth. Random fact: Cabinet ministers who disagree seriously with the head of government would usually be expected to resign. Parties within the cabinet may attempt to manoeuvre to replace the head of government though, for example by proposing a new cabinet bill or voting for an early election. |
