Color[?]:
Description[?]:
The LDU takes pride in its stance on the following issues: abortion, education, environmentalism, euthanasia, capital punishment and taxation. - The LDU believes a woman has the right to her own body, and therefore withholds the right to abort during early to mid pregnancy. We believe that is a woman testifies to not be ready or prepared to handle childcare, abortion should be available. - Education is the future. The LDU firmly believes that a challenging curriculum circulated through public and private schools is necessary for the success of the Democratic Solentia in the future. - The LDU believes the environment should not be sacrificed for a simple oil rig or uranium mine, as the environment is the national treasure. - Euthanasia should be permitted, as should assisted suicide, because a person retains the right to their own life, and whether or not to continue it if under direct influence from a terminal illness, extreme physical disability, etc. - The LDU pushes against the death penalty because of the cruel nature of taking a life in the name of justice. The LDU believes that if justice should be brought, than it should be in the form of rehabilitation, not extreme deterrents such as capital punishment. - The LDU thinks that the top 3%, or earning upwards of the equivalent of US$ 250,000 a year, should be taxed up to 10% more on their income, as they are a prime source for government income. Also, in a way, the wealthy are giving back to the government that have supported their monetary endeavors if new tax levels are introduced. |

Random fact: Players have a responsibility to differentiate between OOC (out-of-character) and IC (in-character) behaviour, and to make clear when they are communicating in OOC or IC terms. Since Particracy is a role-playing game, IC excesses are generally fine, but OOC attacks are not. However, players must not presume this convention permits them to harass a player with IC remarks that have a clear OOC context. |
