Presidential candidate: Manfred Werstein (formerly of Sol) Chairman: Egon Hansen (formerly of SLL) --- --- --- --- --- Solidarität is a centre-left political party in Dorvik, founded in August 4575, by Natalie Pruefer and Ingolf Gansz. It is currently led by Klara Lichtenfels (as of 4621). Since its establishment, Solidarität and its social democratic policy agenda have played a large role in Dorvik, including serving in the Grand Coalition that overturned the so-called "Defense of Democracy Act." More recently, Solidarität has worked with parties in the center and on the left to more fully pursue its social democratic aims. Random quote: "Civil disobedience. . . is not our problem. Our problem is civil obedience. Our problem is that numbers of people all over the world have obeyed the dictates of the leaders of their government and have gone to war, and millions have been killed because of this obedience. . Our problem is that people are obedient all over the world in the face of poverty and starvation and stupidity, and war, and cruelty. Our problem is that people are obedient while the jails are full of petty thieves, and all the while the grand thieves are running the country. That's our problem." - Howard Zinn |
