Since then, People's Party is trying to be recognised as a moderate, modern and a secular Party that advocates moderate federalism and laissez-faire. People's Party had immediate success at their first election in February 4592 grabbing more than 30% of seats in Congress. Since all attempts to form a government failed, early elections were scheduled for March 4594, when John Fritz became the first People's Party elected president of the Republic of Beluzia. At the same time, at parliamentary elections People's Party performed even better compared with the last legislative elections taking nearly 35% of seats in Congress. After the next general elections held in March 4598, John Fritz won the presidency for 2nd consecutive time, but he decided to resign as the leader of the People's Party and continue his last presidental term as an independent. His stand point at that time was that it would be undemocratic to be so long as the Party president and President of the State. Consequentially, new leader of the People's Party has been elected Mehdi Farrell. His polices has shifted the Party toward more liberal spectrum.
