Description[?]:

Demokratisk Folkepartiet (Davostani)
Alþýðubandalagið (Skjöld)
Demokratische Volkspartei (Dorvish/Dundorfian)
Democratic People's Party (Luthorian)

Formed on the 21st of April, 4687 after the collapse of the authoritarian theocratic Satanailist government, which ruled over both Kivonia and Davostan for decades, independent deputies of the National Satanilic Congress that found themselves aligned to the newly formed party soon ordered a snap election, where members of the more progressive voting populace came out in droves to support the formal end of state-sponsored Satanailist rule, which ensured them a supermajority within the legislature.

Putting forth a very progressive and secular platform, the Democratic People's Party believes in achieving peace among both people groups within Davostan and Kivonia, with the latter feeling marginalized at the hands of state-enforced religion. The DPP also fully believes in the strengthening and protection of democracy, alongside secular government and curbing the influence of the Church of Satanail, while still enshrining religious freedom among the public.

Alongside such proposals, the DPP espouses progressive social policy, such as national healthcare, granting abortion rights to women, and fostering a healthy welfare state for the people. With regards to the economy, the DPP supports a market economy, but with an even mix of strong labor laws, regulations and the aforementioned welfare policies.

With regards to foreign policy, the core of the DPP fully believes in globalism and expanding the country's reach outward into Terra. The party also supports strong trade ties with northern countries, alongside nations which share a similar language to the more dominant Davostani portion of the party.
