Description[?]:
Ár Náisiún (Luthori: Our Nation) is a nationalist party which advocates for the people of Kirlawa. Platform of the Ár Náisiún Party of Kirlawa 1 Kirlawa for Kirlawans 1.1 NATIONALISM: Kirlawa and her people have long been a diverse array of different ethnicities living and working together. Celda and Luthorians have long lived and worked together to make Kirlawa great. This makes Kirlawa not just a nation of homogenous speakers, traditions, and religions, but a collection of peoples who have lived and been born in the same land for generations. This is what Ár Náisiún seeks to protect and support, and what it draws its pride from, the people who are born and raised in our beautiful land and those who have worked to build our country. 1.2 FOREIGN AID: We see the other peoples of Terra as our equals and friends to the peoples of Kirlawa. However, the purpose of the Kirlawan government should be to support the Kirlawan people, and that purpose must be prioritised. For this reason we oppose sending large sums of funds and supplies abroad to support nations other than Kirlawa. 1.3 IMMIGRATION: Again, the role of the Kirlawan government and the Kirlawan nation is to support the Kirlawan people. For this reason, we oppose the distribution of government assistance in the forms of funds, product vouchers, and other forms of assistance directed for public assistance to non-Kirlawans living in Kirlawa. For this reason also, we support the imposition of controls of immigration into Kirlawa to prevent the intake of economic migrants and ensure that Kirlawan wages are not depressed by the influx of new workers into the labor market. 2 A Society of Kirlawan Comrades 2.1 WELFARE: One of the goals of the state should be to ensure that no Kirlawan is left to poverty and destitution, and that no Kirlawan is allowed to suffer when something can be done. The Kirlawan people, by way of mutual history and homeland, are comrades who are more than capable of taking care of eachother. For this reason, we support welfare programs for the genuinely disadvantaged, and a state-funded healthcare system that provides emergency services to the Kirlawan people. 2.1.1 We also recognize that excessive welfare programs serve to disincentivize joining the labor force, so we support giving welfare benefits only to those who are unable to work, and only to those who are left unemployed but continue to search for work. 2.2 EDUCATION: The state should also serve to assist the individual in their search for self-improvement and the building of their individual capital since it is only through the creation of strong individuals that a strong community can be made. For this reason, we support government funding of education institutions, whether they be academic or trade institutions, and the subsidization of the tuitions of exceptional individuals seeking higher education. 3 A Free Market in the Hands of the People 3.1 FAIR DEAL: Free-market capitalism has largely been a net-benefit on Terra and her inhabitants, and upon the Kirlawan people. Free markets led by the forces of supply and demand inevitably leads to the most efficient allocation of resources. However, this system is not perfect and occasionally has its failures and, when unregulated, creates an environment which allows for the exploitation of Kirlawan workers and consumers. For this reason, we advocate for the implementation of necessary regulations upon the free market in order to ensure a Fair Deal between Kirlawan workers, consumers, and businesses. 3.2 WORKERS: Nobody knows what the Kirlawan worker needs other than the Kirlawan worker himself, so the Kirlawan worker must be empowered so that he may ensure that his rights and privileges are granted. For this reason, we support worker-led labor unions and their empowerment, as well as the requirement for corporate boards to include worker representatives and the encouragement of businesses being managed by democratic workers councils. 3.3 PROTECTIONISM: The protection and building of domestic industries is imperative to the prosperity of Kirlawa and her people. For this reason, we oppose detrimental free-trade policies which would destroy domestic industry, support government subsidization of new industry, and support restrictions upon the amount of stock in domestic companies that can be held by foreign entities. 4 The Great Shield 4.1 MILITARY: The most important goal of the state, and its most important obligation to the nation is the protection of the people from foreign aggression. For this reason, we believe it is imperative that Kirlawa fields a military large enough and strong enough to ensure her national and territorial sovereignty, and that the military should be equipped with the most technologically advanced and effective tools necessary for it to excel. 4.2 MILITIA: Ultimately, it is the Kirlawan nation rather than the Kirlawan state which must be prepared in the case that it is placed in chains, whether by foreign occupation or domestic tyranny. For this reason, we believe that the right of the Kirlawan people to keep and bear arms, and to form citizens militias should not be infringed. 5 A Friend of Terra, Distant From Terra 5.1 NEUTRALITY: Seeing as the boycotting of certain foreign states for their domestic policies and foreign relations will only serve to ideologically blind Kirlawa and prevent her from establishing the relations most beneficial to her, we believe that Kirlawa should serve only as a force of neutrality in Terra, and abstain from participation in great power blocs. 5.2 NATIONAL SOVEREIGNTY: We believe it is the right of all nations to their own self-governance and the governance of their historical homeland, so we oppose the use of offensive military force to strip nations of this right, and we oppose the usage of the World Congress as a tool to strip nations of this right.
