Kazulian-Lourennais Memorandum of Understanding on Defence and Security

This memorandum reaffirms the common interest of friendship and cooperation between Kazulia and Lourenne and serves as the foundation for future cooperative agreements between Kazulia and Lourenne in the future. The parties acknowledge the need to strengthen cooperation and friendship during a time of global uncertainty, and as such they strive to achieve the following:- Article I Both nations shall recognise the territorial sovereignty of the other and shall not violate or undermine the other to fullest extent. Article II Both nations with exchange ambassadors and diplomatic missions with the other and establish in their national capitals a place of residence for them. They shall be granted full diplomatic immunity and be treated by all parties with the utmost respect and each host nation pledges to protect such ground to the fullest. Both nations shall also allow the establishment of consulates. Article III Both nations, in the interest of promoting freedom and democracy in Dovani and fighting the scourges of radicalism, and terrorism both pledge to co-operate to the fullest in combating terrorism and rouge non state actors which threaten continental security. Article IV In the interest of creating a more prosperous Dovani, both nations shall work to promote economic integration between themselves and where possible among others. To that end both nations will reduce and tariffs within 5 years of ratification of this document and where possible work to end protectionist measures. Article V Both nations seeking mutual security pledge to hold joint military exercises to increase interoperability and readiness. Both nations shall also seek to share intelligence, exchange offers and other trained personal for mutually beneficial instruction services and to ease rules of transfer of military and defence technology where appropriate through a bi-annual aid package. To this end the Joint Operations Command is established to co-ordinate missions between the two nations to improve mutual security. Article VI To promote friendly relations both nations will engage in cultural activities and exchanges designed to boost the understanding of other cultures and bring about respect for diversity. Educational exchanges shall also be designed and promoted for the same purposes. Article VII Both nations pledge not to undermine the other in times of war but neither is compelled by this treaty to assist the other. Secret Articles: (These articles are only seen by the governments of the signatory nations. Persons claiming to have knowledge of these article must bring forward factual evidence (role-play discussions). Article VIII Lourenne hereby allows for the allocation fifty (50) combat aircraft and 5,000 troops belonging to the military/armed forces of Kazulia (and its succeeding states) in a military airbase of their choice. Article IX Kazulia shall allocate to Lourenne a bi-annual $3 Billion Krona aid and foreign military assistance package, containing equipment of the latter's desire within the financial cap. Article X A lease of the facilities shall be paid to the government of Lourenne, ranging from 70 Million Krona to 100 Million Krona. |
