Yingdala-Davostan Treaty of Cooperation and Friendship

This treaty was drafted in January 4750 by the Nationell Samling.

The following treaty is for the purpose of strengthening relations between Yingdala and Davostan and all of their successor states.

Article I- Communication
Yingdala and Davostan recognize that regular communication is important to building trust and friendship between the states. To this end, both governments agree to consult regularly with their partner and open clear channels of communication for exchange of information.


Article II- Ambassadors
There shall be a regular exchange of ambassadors and staff between Yingdala and Davostan. Embassies will be established according to respective host country laws and provisions, in addition to regional Consulates where desirable.


Article III- Research and Development
Yingdala and Davostan agree that the common aims of science, in bettering the experience of mankind, are beneficial to all human beings and to this end, agree to cooperate wherever possible in research and development. This shall include exchanging collected data, sharing facilities and collaborating on major projects.


Article IV- Discrimination Prevention Clause
The signatory countries shall not discriminate against the citizens of the other country signatory for ethnic, religious or political reasons or any other issue of a personal or public nature.
- The registration requirement on these personal matters is eliminated for the citizens of the other country.
- If there is one already registered, it will be removed from the database at the request of the person concerned.
- This point will be independent of the national legislation, with the except for the citizens of the another signatory country in question.


Article V- Labor and Rights

The signatory countries pledge to maintain the rights of workers as established underneath this agreement
- Freedom of association and the effective recognition of the right to collective bargaining
- The elimination of discrimination in respect of employment and occupation
- The elimination of all forms of forced or compulsory labour


Article VI- Bilateral Trade Agreements
There shall be free and unhindered trade between the nations of Yingdala and Davostan.

The governments of neither nation shall attempt to establish tariffs, quotas, or taxes on any imports or exports that flow between them. By default, this article covers all economic activity, including goods and services.
The national governments of Yingdala and Davostan may choose to exclude particular industries in order to protect their economic position but this should only be done after notifying the partner government and with good reason.
Yingdala and Davostan both guarantee the free movement (including the exemption from taxes, duty and fees) of all goods and services not outlawed by law in either party and not vital to the national security interests of either party


Article VII- Cooperation in Science and Education
Davostan will commit to providing grants for university students exchanges of the Yingdala, promoting Masters, doctorates, internships, practical experiences and training within universities, laboratories and domestic institutes (and vice-versa).


Article VIII- Economic Agreements
The Governments of Yingdala and Davostan will cooperate for productive and social investment. The credits will be executed under the coordination of development and domestic investment institutions of Yingdala (and Davostan) and will require that Davostan (and Yingdala) open an account in such institutions and comply with the minimum requirements.

- The aid international agreements will be carried out by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs or the body that it designates.
- The Government of Yingdala will commit not to seize, freeze, confiscate or close accounts of the Government of Davostan and vice-versa.

Yingdala is obligated to inform the Government of Davostan about the account of individuals, organisations or companies from this country in domestic banks and vice-versa. This information will be automatic and will not require further paperwork.
Both countries agree not to expropriate, close, liquidate transnational companies (based in the other signatory country) for a minimum of 10 years since the original investment, or expansion about 15% and to avoid these practices with these companies.

For the resolution of any disputes between companies and the host countries, the signatory nations accept to recognize to the investors the right:

- to demand and carry out friendly consultations between the parties.
- to apply to the judiciary of the host nations if the friendly consultations failed.
- to submit to international arbitration the dispute after 18 months from the beginning of the dispute process.


Article IX- Non-Aggression
Yingdala and Davostan agree that the currently existing territorial boundaries are legitimate and accurate and will respect them as such. Consequently, neither state will ever advance military forces of any kind across these borders. Both states agree to regular consultation on any alarming military operations within their own respective countries and to understand that such operations may result in a response from the other side.


Article X- Further Cooperation
Yingdala and Davostan recognise that continued cooperation and friendship is desirable. As a result both governments commit to re-evaluating this arrangement at regular intervals in an attempt to deepen the ties between the two states.
