Kalistan-Saridan Military Cooperation Regime

| The Republic of Kalistan (KALISTAN), looking to modernize its Regular Forces, proposes a regular regime of cooperation between Kalistan and The Federal Republic of Saridan (SARIDAN). Article 1: Signatory States to this treaty agree to look for opportunities to cooperate in training, limited sharing of technology for conventional weapons, within the limits of the National Laws of the respective states, and on a reciprocal basis, and temporary basing. Joint exercises will be preferred over deployment and unilateral use of foreign territory. Kalistan and Saridan will participate in no fewer than one joint exercise a year. All exercises under this agreement will be conventional in nature (though they may involve irregular tactics), and all signatory states have the right to fully observe all exercises under this Agreement. Article 2: Kalistan specifically will open the Bozo River Combined Arms Training Center to the use of all signatory States, with order of priority as follows: Kalistani Regular Force requirements, Combined Training Exercises, Foreign Only Training exercises. Additionally, Kalistan will open access to the Ananto Strait to foreign armed naval military training only for combined training exercises. Article 3: Signatory states will not, as a matter of course, deny any other signatory state any reasonable request for the opportunity to train in one another's territory. If a signatory state should choose to do so for no reason, they should withdraw from this treaty first. Article 4: Nothing in this Agreement should preclude joint efforts to develop of modify new technology for the use of each Signatory's military. In all events, any new systems or technology that is jointly developed shall go to benefit all signatory states who participated in its development. Article 5: Nothing in this Agreement should preclude other states besides Kalistan and Saridan from joining this agreement. If additional states do sign on, the above Articles shall apply to them as well. Article 6: This Agreement shall come into force upon ratification through normal procedures of both Kalistan and Saridan's National Legislature. It shall go out of force when only one signatory State remains in the agreement. |
