Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Description[?]:
Currently, legislation does not allow for any cooperation between the police and military. This could be extremely detrimental during a time of national emergency such as a war or national disaster. In order to restore order during a time of chaos, the military needs to be able to assist the police. This bill allows the military to be summoned to work alongside the police during a time of severe national crisis. Current: A civilian police force is in place and the military is not allowed to play any part in it. Proposed: A civilian police force is in place and the military may be called in to help in serious emergencies. |

Message | There is no need for the military to ever be included with civilian law enforcement matters. This is a potential threat to Cildanian liberty. |

Message | What? How is this a threat to Cildananian liberty??? If this bill is passed, the military will HELP the police keep order during national emergencies, not hurt them. Under current legislation, if a hurricane or other natural disastor strikes Cildania, only the police would be permitted to keep order in cities. The military would essentially have no power to control an emergency situation, and the police force could be overrun by riots and crime. Maybe the parties that voted against this bill should reread the description so they fully understand what it does. |
