Debate
These messages have been posted to debate on this bill:
Date | 05:57:26, July 19, 2005 CET | From | Democratic Centre Party of Gaduridos | To | Debating the Right to put anything you want in your body |
Message | The problem is, all of these proposals would allow people to harm others. If there are no alcohol regulations, there will be more drunks getting into fights or trying to drive and perhaps killing people. If there are no smoking regulations, second-hand smoke will cause lung cancer among non-smokers. And if there are no drug laws, people may turn to violent crime to support their habits AND those who are high could easily hurt others without intending to. |

Message | DCP makes good points. We agree. We also don't believe it is an effective deterrent to have cannabis legal as it is a proven gateway drug anyway. We disagree with all proposals currently on the table on this bill. |

Random fact: In cases where a party has no seat, the default presumption should be that the party is able to contribute to debates in the legislature due to one of its members winning a seat at a by-election. However, players may collectively improvise arrangements of their own to provide a satisfying explanation for how parties with no seats in the legislature can speak and vote there. |
