MessageThere's no point in raising the executive term as it would violate people's will & limit their chances to affect on affairs of the society. The current legislation is perfectly fine compromise between political continuation and need to reform/update political situation due to changed times & events.

(OOC: 6 days period in real life between elections is fine though 48 months would be more realistic. Sometimes even 6 days feels too long time and raising it to 8 days wouldn't help it)

Random fact: Party candidates for head of state elections are not visible to the public. This means that you cannot see who will run and who will not, which adds another strategic element to the elections.
