Message | We do not feel that this industry exploits people: Note "depicting consenting adults." It's a crime if those it depicts don't consent, or are not adults. If they consent, then at the least they don't feel exploited. |
Date | 19:17:31, February 09, 2007 CET | From | Likaton Coalition of the Willing | To | Debating the Spanking monkies does not make children. |
Message | Consent is sometimes obtained through financial pressures. Are those who work in sweatshops by cconsent not exploited? Again, the LFFR go further than we can stomach, so we must oppose. |

Message | Those who work in sweatshops by consent are exploited, but that's why there are workplace regulations that, in the case of sweatshops, are most notable for enforcing a minimum wage and maximum working hours. That is also the reason that the PLPL is strongly pro-union. However, consenting adults that make pornography are choosing to do so as what they deem their best option. Obviously the same workplace regulations that apply to anyone else should apply to them-- and do. We therefore believe they should be allowed to choose that profession. |

Random fact: Particracy allows you to establish an unelected head of state like a monarch or a president-for-life, but doing this is a bit of a process. First elect a candidate with the name "." to the Head of State position. Then change your law on the "Structure of the executive branch" to "The head of state is hereditary and symbolic; the head of government chairs the cabinet" and change the "formal title of the head of state" to how you want the new head of state's title and name to appear (eg. King Percy XVI). |
Random quote: "We are told that this is an odious and unpopular tax. I never knew a tax that was not odious and unpopular with the people who paid it." - John Sherman |
