Bill: Vice Presidential Act
Details
Submitted by[?]: National Conservative Conference
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This bill is a resolution. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: March 2361
Description[?]:
This act calls for the installation of a new office. In case of a presidential death in office we need someone to stand in whilst new elections are held. We propose.... 1) A new office of vice President is created and will stand in, on the death or resignation of a President, as a TEMPORARY post. 2) Emergency elections immediatly be called on the death of the President. |

Message | There's no need to establish vice presidential post as Prime Minister can act as vice president. |
Date | 14:02:20, February 10, 2007 CET | From | National Conservative Conference | To | Debating the Vice Presidential Act |
Message | Yes but if the PM and President are from different parties, then the Acting President (PM) would have a completely different agenda and would therefore create a power shift that would cause chaos and confusion. It is essential that the Party who holds the President names their Vice President as well. |

Message | We would agree there would need to be a line of succession, but would it matter if a different party controlled the presidency, when there will be more pressing issues at that time, such as who or how the President was killed? |

Message | After closer thinking, we are ready to support the proposal of creating office for vice president though if HoS party also has ministers in the government, one of their ministers should adopt the role of vice president. |
