Message | This proposal is just as objectionable in its own way as the other farming proposal. It would depopulate large areas of the countryside, which has a flow on effect to surrounding towns and the services they provide. It would encourage envionmentally unsound practices such as largescale use of pesticides, excessive clearing and the creation of mono-cropping. Also, it would reduce genetic diversity in the types of crops and animals farmed. |
