This bill will make it compulsory for all packaged foods to have a sell by date on them. Each batch on non-packaged foods, e.g. loose fruit, will also have a sell by date but obviously this cannot be displayed on theobect in question. The food may not be sold after this date and any companies found doing so will be fined. |
