Message | The best way we can improve our citizens quality of life is by attracting industry into the country and thereby creating highly paid jobs. |
Date | 23:33:59, February 20, 2007 CET | From | AM Populist Social Democrats | To | Debating the Liberal Budget Proposal |
Message | This certainly would be a disaster for our educational system and universal services. We find this proposal, frankly, horrible. |
Date | 23:42:57, February 20, 2007 CET | From | Democratic National Party | To | Debating the Liberal Budget Proposal |
Message | This bill wont be put to vote until our manifesto is released which will call for the creation of more private schools and hospitals. We want to cut spending across the board but increase spending on industry, transport, infrastructure, trade and finance in order to stimulate economic growth. Once our deficits in these areas are made up we will propose spending cuts in these areas along with further tax cuts. |
Date | 00:33:15, February 21, 2007 CET | From | Likaton Coalition of the Willing | To | Debating the Liberal Budget Proposal |
Message | There is nothing here we can get behind. We will vote no. |
Date | 09:51:38, February 21, 2007 CET | From | AM Feminazi Movement | To | Debating the Liberal Budget Proposal |
Message | We would ask that defence spending be increased rather than cut, however as our bretheren are indeed our bretheren, we will show solidarity. |
Date | 09:57:03, February 21, 2007 CET | From | Commonwealth Workers Army | To | Debating the Liberal Budget Proposal |
Message | Axis Mundi Revolution finds this proposal bizarre and frightening. Why are we cutting funding for education, whilst massively multiplying the incentives for 'Trade and Industry'? It looks to us like punishing the poor, to line the pockets of the wealthy. Axis Mundi Revolution cannot support this agenda. |
Date | 11:39:28, February 21, 2007 CET | From | Democratic National Party | To | Debating the Liberal Budget Proposal |
Message | It seems we have little support for this bill (maybe we will have support from the libertarians). So, we've decided that this bill will form part of our manifesto. We will try to include proposals related the expenditure cuts in this bill. |
Date | 11:48:34, February 21, 2007 CET | From | Democratic National Party | To | Debating the Liberal Budget Proposal |
Message | Spending cuts are more than justified when they come together with the other proposals above. |
Date | 16:36:05, February 21, 2007 CET | From | AM Radical Libertarian Party | To | Debating the Liberal Budget Proposal |
Message | We find this to be an excellent proposal, and will support it completely. |
Date | 18:02:34, February 21, 2007 CET | From | Commonwealth Workers Army | To | Debating the Liberal Budget Proposal |
Message | We consider this manifesto to veer dangerously close to being 'evil' - removing safety nets from healthcare, removing any external regulation of energy provision, abandoning pre-schoolers completely to the viccisitudes of the market, and creating a weaker, tiered system of education. All of these things strike us as being bad, and that is even without the further attempts to undermine education implicit in the budget... |
Date | 19:02:22, February 21, 2007 CET | From | Democratic National Party | To | Debating the Liberal Budget Proposal |
Message | The only through evil is state control and state involvement in the lives of the individual. The state has a track record of not serving the people in this country. Let's give market forcesa chance to do better. I'm sure they'll perform much better than the current coalition government. |
Date | 20:28:11, February 21, 2007 CET | From | Commonwealth Workers Army | To | Debating the Liberal Budget Proposal |
Message | Actually, an earlier incarnation of the Axis Mundi Revolution was enormously popular with The People of Likatonia, campaigning on an agenda of fairly agressive statism. We appreciate the opinion of the CLP, but they should remember it is just an opinion. Many people actually want a stronger state. And, the catalogue of the former Axis Mundi Revolution suggests that, not only were they very popular, they also did great work serving the will of The People. We are inclined to think that most people would prefer the'evil' of eductation guaranteed by the state, to the 'evil' of no education except for the very rich. |
Date | 00:05:41, February 22, 2007 CET | From | Democratic National Party | To | Debating the Liberal Budget Proposal |
Message | Unfortunately for the current AMR, there are plenty of parties who vote against our proposals in this regard while at the same time vote for yours. The popularity of too much state involvement in all sectors of the nation, if it is still there, will be shared among approximately 6 different parties. But we respect your opinion as long as you believe in it and it is not a populist approach as your previous message might suggest. |
Date | 17:00:07, February 22, 2007 CET | From | Commonwealth Workers Army | To | Debating the Liberal Budget Proposal |
Message | As we pointed out, our policies were 'popular'. That is not the same as 'populist'. The earlier incarnations of our party have often served The People, but there is a difference between sticking by your guns and the spirit of the times feting you as a champion... and cynically following voters. |
