Bill: Energy Policy
Details
Submitted by[?]: Justice League of Cildania
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: December 2365
Description[?]:
Boo Public power! Sure, folks think they're gettin' energy on the cheap because the costs hide in their taxes and don't show up on their power bill. Which means demand kicks supply's ass and you end up with overworked underfunded plants and a huge bureaucracy to keep track of all the track keepers. Plus when energy-hungry super villains need a boost, where do they go? Yup the local energy plant. If that plant was a public networked plant, the villain could take out like a whole province. I don't want my province blown up, I say the more dispersed and privatized power the better! |

Message | Were it not for article four we would consider supporting this bills passage - any chance of a removal? |

Message | Sounds fair! Let it be known that the Justice League will never sacrifice our principles of truth, justice and the Cildanian way, but we can be conciliatory in legislature for a better tomorrow. |

Random fact: Any RP law granting extraordinary "emergency powers" or dictator-like powers to a government must be passed by at least a 2/3rds majority, but (like all RP laws) may always be overturned by a simple majority vote of the legislature. |
Random quote: The Wolfsheim Virus is not a real actual disease in the conventional medical sense of the term. Rather, it is a cluster of symptoms which are just part of the general socio-economic disease that is capitalism. The main symptoms the sufferers are experiencing are a direct result of capitalist poverty, as in malnutrition, poor housing and so on, combined with psycho-somatic symptoms which are a direct consequence of the contradictions and stresses which are inherent to the capitalist system. ~ Friedrich Pfeiffer, General Secretary of the Dorvish Communist Party |
