Bill: The Illegalization of Narcotics Act
Details
Submitted by[?]: Aldegar Freedom Party
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: November 2367
Description[?]:
The True Conservative Party believes that the nation's recent change in policy to allow the legalization of previously illicit drugs is abhorrent and must be immediately altered. Under no circumstance are any seriously physically or mentally altering\damaging narcotics to be legalized. The legalization of said narcotics, if it were to continue, would inevitably increase crime rates substantially, as addicts try to steal more money to fund their habit. It would also increase the death toll dramatically, increase the rates of mental illness dramatically, increase the rate of unemployment, and therefore poverty, and therefore welfare and taxes to pay for the nation's welfare dramatically, and it would increase the rate of drug-induced or motivated violence\crime dramatically. Children will become addicted to drugs at an early age and dramatically lessen their life expectancy and their mental and physical health and capacity severely. The True Conservative Party demands that this appalling legislation be altered immediately. The True Conservative Party will not comrpimise on this bill. |
