Bill: Women in the Defence Force Act 2366

Details

Submitted by[?]: Christian Democratic Alternative

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: October 2367

Description[?]:

The CDA realises that putting the lives of men (and fathers) on the line is difficult but necessary responsibility. It is, however, unreasonable to put the lives of mothers on the line as it increases the chance of children becoming orphans. Therefore, women should be confined to non-combatant units in the army (such as hospital staff, the telephone service and food provision).

MessageThe CDA even thinks women get an advantage in this proposal as they run a smaller chance of getting mowed down by a machine gun. I am genuinely concerned about their safety. For the record, the CDA's proposal doesn't ban women from the army, it just gets them out of dangerous positions. There is no such thing as equality. Men and women are born with different physical parameters. Men have greater stamina and women in the platoon might slow it down, leading to more potential danger in a tense battlefield situation.
