Bill: The Anti Filth Act, v.2
Details
Submitted by[?]: Aldegar Freedom Party
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: May 2375
Description[?]:
The True Conservative Party believes that there is absolutely no need to show any nudity or sexually explicit acts on television. This could essentially damage the naive and highly impressionable minds of young children innocently flipping through channels on telivision, and thus corrupt their upbringing, exposing them to needless sexual tripe. Furthermore, there is no benefit of being allowed to show this filth - there is no need for it to be shown. Sexually explicit acts or nudity are only ever used on telivision as a rediculous, cheap tactic to sexually intice viewers, thus compelling them to gain interest in the show that they otherwise may not have had, inevitably gaining viewers and ratings. It is basically soft-core pornography and utter filth. Essentially, the depiction of these things are not needed in any wholesome telivision show. The TCP believes that this smut should be banned from telivision entirely. If there are any arguements that any other party has against this proposal, these arguements are simply the limp, feeble, hollow justifications of perverts - there is no ethical or reasonable justification for nudity or sexually explicit material on television. The TCP reminds other parties that things such as 'freedom of media', etc, is not a legitimate arguement, and the TCP will not recognise any arguement of this ilk as being legitimate, and will therefore not consider them. |

Message | We believe that our citizens are smart enough on their own that they are capable to decide on their own what to watch. We think this is a pointless measure that will result only in dissatisfaction of the electorate. |
