Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: September 2368
Description[?]:
In order to maintain the security of the Imperial Republics' borders and to guarantee that all peoples within this Nation work for the improvement of this Nation rather than against it the following measures will be implemented. - The Justice has the right to monitor information without informing those being investigated. This will have the advantage of allowing the security services to operate and carry out their function of counter-intelligence and information gathering in order to bring justice to the people. - Invasive security and background checks will be carried out on all citizens requesting passports. This will guarantee that no citizens bring the Imperial Republic into disrepute abroad as no citizens with a criminal record will be allowed exit of this Nation. - Strict border controls will be enacted on all visitors to this Country. This will assist the security services in maintaining law and order throughout the Nation. For the majority of citizens of the Imperial Republic the above changes to the laws will have little or no effect to their daily lives. This law will effect a minority of criminal classes and assist our security services in bringing them to justice. If you've done nothing wrong you've got nothing to fear. If you've something to hide you shouldn't even be here. |

Random quote: As for rape, of course, that is a direct consequence of the capitalist system of oppression. Capitalism relies on fuelling division and resentment to sustain itself, and so it sets men against women, race against race and so on. Men rape women because they are being oppressed by capitalism, so they take it out on women. Under Communism, there will be no rape, because there will be a full and natural harmony and equality between the genders. ~ Friedrich Pfeiffer General Secretary of the Dorvish Communist Party |
