Message | In my opinion for what these departments do they had too much money to spend and lots of it was being wasted on useless projects.Instead lets give money back to the people to spend the money on what they wish.We are still spending 600,000,000,000 Billion BDR on Healthcare, which is 1,000BDR per person, which is still a lot of money. Plus we are spending 5,000BDR per pupil, which is alot for schools. For example a school of 2000 will have a budget of 10,000,000BDR.This is a huge amount of money for schools and best of all none of it will go to waste. Finally i felt our defence budget needed to increase, as there has been some attacks on nearby countries and we need to protect ourselves and i have given the means to do so with the budget increase, which orginally was tiny. Also it is still only 0.04% of our public expenditure this is a tiny amount if you look at other budgets. I urge my partners of this wonderful coalition to vote yes on the budget and tax changes, as they are sensible changes which will reduce waste and increase effiency in our public services. Yours Sincerly Rob Burns MP and Finance Minister |
