Article 1, Unemployment Assistance. So as to guarantee that all peoples of the Imperial Republic are guaranteed a minimum standard of provision, but so as not to make any direct income provided by the Government to be so comfortable as to not encourage people(s) to seek employment, the Government will provide a minimum income guarantee. This guarantee, provided via State benefit, will be provided to all persons who have no support so as to provide them, in conjunction with other State provided minimums, a guaranteed minimum level of subsistence. This income, the make-up of which will be described in detail below, will not be provided for more than 1 year, or for each proceeding 6 months, unless proof can be provided that the person(s) claiming aforementioned benefit is actively seeking means of employment. Proof of seeking employment can be provided by showing evidence of either: a) Actively utilising State provided employment centres, b) Showing responses from recognised industries and businesses of receipt of completed applications. Failure to provide said information on request will result in the immediate revocation of benefit. Make-up of minimum income guarantee: 20 HCR income paid directly into bank account, or cheque collected from local employment centre each week, 50 HCR food vouchers collected directly from local employment centre each week. Total income: 3640 HCR per annum. Article 2, Minimum Wage. In order to guarantee that all people(s) within employment are guaranteed a minimum standard of living at all times, and to help raise economic productivity from those employess, the Government will introduce a minimum wage for all workers. The wage will be set so as to allow an individual enough money that they can adequately subsist. Adequate subsistence is defined as: - The ability to pay for a minimum amount of basic food per week. - The ability to afford Government subsidised Housing rent and all it's basic amenities (not inclusive of telephone lines). The minimum wage will be set so as to make it higher than the Unemployment Assistance in order to encourage people(s) to find employment, but also at a level so as to maintain quality of life. The minimum wage will be calculated on a single full time worker working a 48 hour week. Number of Hours per annum: 2496 Minimum Wage per hour: 2.50 HCR Minimum Wage per annum: 6240 HCR |

Current: All adults shall be guaranteed a very basic subsistence income by the government.
Proposed: All adults not supported by another person shall be guaranteed a very basic subsistence income by the government. However, the provision of this is not to exceed a certain period of time.

Current: There shall be a minimum wage at a level that a full time worker on it can support a family of four without falling under the poverty line.
