Message | We recognize that the ConLibs would prefer that Likatonians not be educated well enough to recognize the extent to which these policies, including their return of the golden handshake, help the uber-rich elites at the expense of the commoner. We do find it somewhat strange that when they attacked a "massive" (in their words) cut in infrastructure by our party from the 10 billion LIK they had allocated to 9 billion LIK, that they now propose for Infrastructure a larger cut. And they even show an indifference to crime with large cuts in Justice and Internal Affairs, despite their desire there be no local police. |
Date | 22:24:00, March 09, 2007 CET | From | Likaton Coalition of the Willing | To | Debating the Budget proposal of August 2371 |
Message | No. We sadly cannot support more than one article in this Bill, and that would be with reservations. |
Date | 22:26:58, March 09, 2007 CET | From | Democratic National Party | To | Debating the Budget proposal of August 2371 |
Message | Reduction is education justified by allowing private schools, Reduction in justice, justified by having apolice force backed up by the military. Reduction in infrastructure justified by privitising the railways. |

Message | This bill is evil. Far too much of the ConLib 'agenda' is tied to the budget proposal, for a start. We think this a dishonest way of pushing a budget. Add to that, the reductions in all the things that matter to 'people' (health, education, social care), in order to bend over backwards for their bedfellows in the corporate sphere... this is just a horrible proposal. We can appreciate WHY the ConLibs would want uneducated masses.... |

Message | This Bill is such a chame. We could be tempted by the budget, but the riders really do nix it for us. |

Message | We will not support the way the ConLibs prostitute Likatonians for a few pennies. The People deserve better, and they demand better. |

Random quote: First and second class seats on public transport shall be BANNED! We are all FIRST CLASS people, regardless of whether we are rich or poor and can afford or not afford to pay for a more expensive seat. From now on, all seats on trains, buses, trams, planes and so on shall be the SAME. We will all travel in the SAME way, TOGETHER. ~ Friedrich Pfeiffer General Secretary of the Dorvish Communist Party |
