Voting deadline: March 2374
Description[?]:
Whereas, There are now two gaping holes in our national security, this bill shall attempt to fix those. One gap is that while there is free foriegn investment in all national companies, all defense national companies are privately owned. This creates a situation in which we could be dependent for our weapons on potentially hostile nations, whose companies may have purchased a majority share in our defense industries. We therefore propose that public defense industries exist alongside private ones. The second gap is even worse, allowing ANY weapon made in Likatonia to be exported to ANY country, with no oversight. We can be supplying terrorists with WMD's that the companies know they plan to use against us, and the government has given up the right to prevent it. We therefore propose that the government review such sales case by case. |

Message | We will not support. If we stop making WMD's, as proposed in this Bill (http://80.237.164.51/particracy/main/viewbill.php?billid=106030), then the second point would not be an issue. |
Date | 22:26:58, March 13, 2007 CET | From | AM Populist Social Democrats | To | Debating the National Security Act |
Message | A) The Bill is failing, and B) We have a problem with exporting our best domestic arms to nations who wish to use them against us, whether we have WMD's or not. |
