From | Social Democrats | To | Debating the Ratification of the Treaty to Establish the Seleya Free Trade Zone | Message | Our belief as internationalists is that we have to encourage all kinds of international cooperation. In particular we must strive for better economy in the wider region. We propose that a free trade zone is ratified here with our neighbouring countries. This will not only be positive for our economy, but will also act as a safeguard against possible future conflicts. |

From | Greenpeace Party | To | Debating the Ratification of the Treaty to Establish the Seleya Free Trade Zone | Message | We believe that the commerce must follow the values of the country. We believe that the profit cannot be the main aim but the collective improvement of the quality of the life. The free market is free solo from the rules, and it does not guarantee collective development. We are contrary to the adhesion to this treaty. |

From | Social Democrats | To | Debating the Ratification of the Treaty to Establish the Seleya Free Trade Zone | Message | Our motivation is that we should encourage our commerce to become global. We must see this as a way for our top companies to approach a wider market for bigger profit which means more money for our government.
We furthermore believe that this is actually deregulation - it abolishes the ban on imports and exports. It will only boost our economy. |

From | Party of Moderates | To | Debating the Ratification of the Treaty to Establish the Seleya Free Trade Zone | Message | The Party of Moderates is opposed to this bill. Even though it is mainly just a resolution, that resolution is dangerous and conflicting with our view. We believe in the right of tariffs to protect our home industries. We also don't believe in restricting our economy with treaties, at least for the time being. As for its article where it makes its demand, we can achieve that without signing the treaty. |

From | Party of Moderates | To | Debating the Ratification of the Treaty to Establish the Seleya Free Trade Zone | Message | We may now support the treaty if the following question is answered. Since the only required policy change the treaty has countries who join it do has nothing to do with free trade, how does it ensure free trade? Are treaties special parts of the game? Do they do things that aren't simply reflected in policies? If that's true, my attack on the treaty was more due to naivete of the game rather than dislike of the treaty. |

Random fact: "OOC", "IC" and "IG" are commonly-used acronyms in Particracy. "OOC" refers to comments, discussions and actions which are out-of-character, meaning they are done player-to-player rather than party-to-party. "IC" refers to in-character interactions (ie. party-to-party). Similarly, "IG" means in-game, although this term may also simply refer to what happens in the actual game interface, as opposed to on the forum or elsewhere. "RP" just means "role-play". |
