| Message | There is a difference between killing in war and capital punishment. Killing in war is self-defense in an active arena. (i.e., kill or be killed at that moment.) Capital punishment is simply state-sponsored bloodlust. THe protection of society is acchieved to the same extent via life imprisonment, making capital punishment revenge, not justice. |
