Message | Article 2 refers to gender segregation, which has proven to be quite effective as students are less distracted. It is not completely unreasonable as it allows local governments to decide the matter. Article 3 is also not that restrictive: it's not like corporal punishment is directly advocated. Articles 1 and 4 are expensive, but we may be willing to support the option of paying for those with low incomes only. |

Message | "Proposal to change Policy concerning RACIAL segregation in educational institutions." The majority parties argument regarding article 2 has now been proven categorically false. The only possible defense left for the current law is advocacy of racial segregation - Even if this body does not support it directly, by leaving the possibility open to the Cantons it supports it in fact. |
